Pursuing Health Equity

Hope Over Pain is an all volunteer organization comprised of individuals whose lives have been impacted by one or more debilitating chronic pain conditions.

Our actions will include promoting public and professional awareness and education; providing programs and services to empower people with Chronic & Intractable Pain conditions and their families as they strive to move their lives forward. Our efforts will help bridge the gap between what patients need and what they are able to afford, by providing direct assistance to patients who fall through the cracks in the current system.

Our Mission

Our mission is to reduce and eliminate health inequities and disparities in treatment which create barriers for patients, preventing them from obtaining the treatment most appropriate for their individual health care needs.

Through education, promoting public and professional awareness our goal is to empower patients and Medical Professionals, to eliminate discrimination in health care and help ensure all patients achieve health equity.

Chronic Pain affects aging adults, adults in poverty and adults with public health insurance

Patients with moderate pain pay $4,516 more in annual healthcare costs than those with no pain
